On 28th June 2007 there was an annual meeting of ANZSIL held in Canberra. Judge Weeramantry delivered the Keynote address on Restoring the Rule of Law in International Affairs.
Judge Weeramantry observed that international lawyers could be said to carry the “sacred trust of civilization” for the constitution of a better world.
The Centre hopes to organize some international law events in the future including an event on Nuclear Weapons and hopes to collaborate with ANZSIL on this.
