The 21st Rotaract District Assembly 3220 was held on the 26th of June 2011, at the Galle Face Hotel, where Mr. Neshan Gunasekara, Project Director of WICPER and the Training For Trusteeship Programme was invited as the keynote speaker. He addressed the Assembly on the topic ‘Duties of Current Generation Toward Future Generations’, during which he called on all Rotaractors in Sri Lanka to do their utmost to contribute toward achieving a lasting peace and sustainable development in Sri Lanka.
This event was attended by over 300 outstanding Rotaractors drawn from all corners of Sri Lanka. The District Rotaract Representative for the year 2011/2012, Subrmaniam Sudhakaran, who is also an Alumnus of the Training for Trusteeship Programme, delivered his message, which highlighted some of the challenges facing young people in post-war Sri Lanka and the duties placed upon their shoulders to ensure we reach a stage of peace.
Amongst those present at the event were District Governor of the Rotary District 3220 Rtn. PP. Gehan Siribaddana and several Rotaractors who are part of the Training for Trusteeship Alumni including Bhagya Egodage, Krishan Balaji, Mohamed Sikander, Sadeesha Peiris and Adhil Bakeer Markar.
