Neshan Gunasekera, Project Director of WICPER attended the 5th UNESCO Asian Youth Forum, which was held from August 22-26, 2011 in the Republic of Korea.
The forum allowed participants to come together to identify youth-related issues relevant to the Asian region and to find and support youth-led initiatives aiming to solve issues in their countries and communities. Moreover, this regional youth forum has provided an opportunity to discuss new strategies in strengthening cooperation amongst youth networks in Asia. With a view to strengthen the practical aspects of the forum, KNCU plans to operate a few youth-led pilot projects supported by the Asia Youth Fund.
