The General Assembly of the IALANA, was held at University of Szczecin, Poland from June 17-19, 2011 under the President of H.E. Judge C.G. Weeramantry.
The theme of the conference was getting to a nuclear free world. Judge C.G. Weeramantry delivered the keynote address which was titled ‘Two aspects of the sword of Damocles: Nuclear Weapons and Nuclear Energy’, and this was followed by a Resolution unanimously passed by the Assembly in which both nuclear weapons and nuclear energy were condemned as dangers to humanity.
